For Busy Parents: We built Kiosk Display for our own homes. We treat your family's privacy the exact same way we treat ours: zero ads, zero data selling, and zero access to your personal work meetings, doctor visits, or private emails.
Google API Services & Limited Use Disclosure
Mandatory disclosure for OAuth 2.0 Google Calendar integration
Kiosk Display's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our application adheres strictly to the principle of least privilege. We specifically request only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.app.created scope alongside standard OpenID identity (openid, email, profile).
Explicit Privacy Guarantee: Kiosk Display does NOT read, view, or access your primary personal calendar, work meetings, emails, or any pre-existing calendars in your Google account.
1. What We Access & What We Collect
When you connect your Google Account with Kiosk Display, we collect only the minimal information strictly needed to show your family's schedule on your vertically oriented monitors or household displays:
Your email and name from Google (openid, email, profile) are only used to verify your household so only your family can access your screen.
Under scope calendar.app.created, Kiosk Display only creates a separate family calendar. We can only read and write events created for that family calendar.
Items you create on your home display — like kid chore checklists, grocery lists, sticky notes, and dinner plans — stay safely saved to your family's private household account.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information accessed through Google and your display is used solely to keep your household running smoothly:
- Real-Time Schedule Sync: Syncing soccer practices, school events, and dentist visits between your phone and your home display screen.
- Family Coordination: Showing who has practice when, school drop-offs and pick-ups, and daily routines.
- Safe Display Connection: Ensuring only authorized displays in your home can show your family's board.
3. No Selling, No Advertising & No Data Brokering
We believe home and family spaces must remain peaceful and private. User data, Google account info, and calendar events are never sold, rented, leased, or transferred to third-party data brokers or advertisers. We do not run any ads on Kiosk Display hardware or companion mobile apps.
4. Artificial Intelligence & Model Training Policy
No generalized AI model training: Family calendar events, Google user data, notes, and photos are never used to train generalized artificial intelligence models, foundation models, or third-party LLMs.
If you snap a photo of a paper school flyer, text extraction is done solely to help you put the school date onto your calendar. The photo and text are never used to train AI models or profile your family.
5. Keeping You in Control: Disconnecting & Deleting Your Data
You are always in control. You can disconnect Google Calendar or delete your family's information at any time:
Open Settings → Calendar Sync on your display and tap Disconnect. This immediately removes stored access tokens and stops syncing.
You can revoke Kiosk Display's access at any time directly through Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking permission instantly prevents our platform from issuing any further API requests.
To request permanent deletion of your household data or account records, email us at privacy@flavorfeed.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
6. Security & Safety Standards
We use strong, modern security practices to keep your family's schedules safe:
- Encrypted Communication: All data travels through secure, encrypted connections (TLS 1.3).
- Secure Device Pairing: Each display in your home connects with a private, encrypted digital key.
- Parental PIN Lock: Adult settings and calendar options can be locked behind a 4-digit PIN so little hands cannot change them.
7. Protecting Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Kiosk Display is made for families with kids of all ages. Kids can tap chores, see routines, and earn stars. We do not collect personal info directly from children under 13 without parental consent. All kid names, avatars, and chore goals are set up and managed directly by parents.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page so you can always stay informed.
